I have just returned from my visit home to see my family. †It was great visiting family and friends. †I wanted my youngest son to meet his cousins and see where I grew up. As I look back on my childhood, there were some hard and often sad times, but there was also some really good times. †Sometimes the bad things have a way of overshadowing the good times. †I focused on the good times and was able to laugh about some of those not so good times. I remembered how I thought my Aunt Mike was a glamourous fearless Diva! My cousins were (and still are!) †ageless fashionistas. I laughed with my childhood girlfriends and talked about who had a crush on who. We made it point to tell say “I love you” because we all realize that life is short. †There is a comfort in family. We might not always agree on everything and we might not like each other all the time, but we alway love each other and we always have each others back. †It was a great time and I am going to try to visit more often.
Here is a little encouragement for your weekend. Have a great one!!
We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
